Alpha Brain Waves
Binaural Meditation Through Alpha Brain Waves

Have you ever heard the phrase that your life is how you perceive it?
This tends to be very true, If you are hating on your life right now due to certain experiences that you have been through. Consider this, negative emotions about what has happened in the past and even perhaps your uncertain future are all just thoughts you have conceived yourself in your own mind.
Take a second and realize that all that you experience as a thought is only a thought and that you are the master of your what you think. Now ask your self, why would you want to live your life always thinking negative thoughts that make your more unhappy when you are really the one who is control? You are more than capable of releasing these thoughts and replacing them with new positive, healthy, life loving thoughts regardless of what you've been through in life.
Now let me explain about the different frequencies your mind operates on and tell you a little about each of them and how you can harness the alpha brain waves to free yourself from enslaving thoughts of human mind!
Beta Brain Waves
When we are going throughout our day in our physical world we our brains are operating at a frequency known as beta. The beta brain wave frequencies are operating more than twice as fast than that of the alpha brain wave frequencies. You are in beta this very moment as you consciously sit at your computer taking in the input from your screen. Beta is the rational, thinking, problem solving state of brain in which you have spent most of your life in the waking world. The Beta brain waves are operating incredibly fast and ever changing at a rate of between 15 to 40 cycles per second.
Alpha Brain Waves
The alpha state of mind occurs at a peak of inner contentment where the minds frequencies are lowered into what is called the alpha brain waves. When wandering from beta to alpha the mind's frequencies begin to slow down to a range of about 9 to 14 cycles per second. The alpha brain waves allow for a state of tranquility and calmness. Alpha is where the mind is most open to suggestions and subliminal programming. The programming that can be done to the subconscious in alpha is almost the same thing as hypnosis but when practicing meditation with the alpha brain waves one is able to use it to their advantage. Through the programming of the subconscious self the potentiality is virtually unbounded.
Theta Brain Waves
The next stage in lowering the frequencies of the mind is theta in which the brain is still conscious but more on zombie auto pilot that of alpha. The frequency range of theta will generally be somewhere in between 5 and 8 cycles per second. Theta is much harder to consciously be in control of as it is the state right before a deep sleep. With practice one can harness Theta brain waves for a greater ambition but more than likely once you've reached theta your bound to fall asleep. This is one reason alpha is the perfect circumstance of mind for programming your subconscious. When one begins to experiment with meditation through theta brainwaves they will usually sit upright to stay conscious and prevent from falling asleep.
Delta Brain Waves
Delta brain waves are by far the lowest brain waves our brains will operate on with a range of 1.5 to 4 cycles per second. Your brain will never reach zero cycles per second as long as your alive because in the event that it did you would be dead! Delta is the state of deep sleep. With delta your mind is rejuvenating itself and naturally you are completely lights out, however you may have heard of something called lucid dreaming.
Lucid dreaming is the instance of dreaming and then consciously realizing that you are actually dreaming. I'm not going to get to in depth with lucid dreaming but what I can tell you about it is it that it is one of the most wonderful experiences you'll ever have. When your the one who is in control of your dream you can do absolutely anything!
To wrap it all up those are the four different types of brain waves, and alpha is certainly one to be taking advantage of. I've been practicing the art of meditation for a long time now and it definitely helps to have a basic understanding of the science behind what is happening inside of your own mind.
Over the years I have personally used a variety of different meditation techniques. One that I have found to the best that I practice with regularly is binaural beats meditation. Basically with this technology you use a set of stereo headphones and listen to a track of special, calming music and buried deep within the music are very specialfrequencies, a low one and high one. A separate frequency is played in each ear and only after a few minutes the alpha state of mind can be acquired. This can be extremely helpful for someone just starting out that may be having trouble sitting still to find their inner peace through the alpha brain waves.
